Yi (pronounced 'YEE') is a sixth year Ph.D. student in Statistics.  Her research focuses on functional data analysis and her current project uses Bayesian method to align curves.  She is working with growth rate data to compare people's growth in height from age 1 to age 18. She is also investigating if people walk differently under different conditions, using a large scale gait cycle data set.  She has been teaching different levels of undergraduate courses prior to becoming a consultant and she loves talking to people with different backgrounds about statistics.
